There’s something extra special about a wedding that feels effortlessly magical, where the couple is so connected and grounded that everything around them just falls into place. That was Zachary and Erica’s day through and through. Set at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie, NY, their November wedding had the kind of crisp, golden light and calm air that you hope for all season long. It was the perfect backdrop for a celebration that was as heartfelt as it was beautiful.
THE COUPLE
Zach and Erica are such a sweet pair. Relaxed, playful, and fully present with each other. You can tell they’re genuinely best friends, completely at ease no matter what’s going on around them. Their go-with-the-flow energy made the day feel breezy and joyful from start to finish.
One of the most tender parts of their wedding day was how they included their baby son in so many moments. He was part of their first look, which was filled with emotion and happy tears. Seeing the three of them together, dressed up and smiling in the autumn air, made for some of the best memories of the day.
THE VENUE
The Grandview is such a gorgeous Hudson Valley venue, perched right along the river with sweeping views and beautifully manicured grounds. Erica got ready in the venue’s new wedding cottage, which added a cozy and polished start to the day. It felt private and tucked away, the perfect space for a little quiet before the celebration kicked off.
Later in the evening, guests gathered in the draped tent for the reception. Elegant, glowing, and softly lit for a relaxed and inviting dinner and dance floor. It was the kind of space that felt special without being overdone - just right for Zach and Erica’s vibe.
THE DETAILS
Erica’s bridal look was pure fairytale. She wore a voluminous blush ballgown with soft layers and a subtle veil that added a dreamy, romantic touch to every frame. Her pearl statement earrings brought in a modern edge, and in the ultimate cool-girl twist, she wore Vans as her wedding shoes, combining elegance with total comfort and style.
Zach looked incredibly sharp in a black-on-black suit, with a black shirt and tie to match. Together, they struck the perfect balance of timeless and cool, dressed to the nines but still completely themselves.
Their florals were soft and romantic in tones of lilac, blush, and white, and the wedding party complemented the palette beautifully in mauve and black. Everything was cohesive and thoughtful without feeling too styled. Just easy and lovely.
THE RECEPTION
The whole day had a relaxed and joyful energy. Guests sipped drinks under the soft November sky, people twirled on the dance floor, and Zach and Erica stayed close the entire time, soaking it all in. Their reception felt more like an intimate gathering than a big production. Simple, beautiful, and full of genuine connection.
You could tell that being surrounded by family and friends made the day feel even more meaningful. The laughter was real, the hugs were long, and the love was palpable.
Zachary and Erica’s wedding was everything a fall celebration should be. Cozy, romantic, full of color and warmth, and centered around the things that matter most. From the sweet inclusion of their son, to the dreamy blush-toned details, to their calm, joyful presence throughout the day, it was a wedding I’ll be thinking about for a long time.
