Westchester Wedding // Becca + Chris
Becca and Chris got married at the end of August at Hollow Brook Golf Club in Cortlandt Manor, New York, and from the very beginning of the day, it was clear what this wedding was going to be about: the two of them, and the people (and pup!) they love most. No fuss, no stress, just a genuine desire to be present for all of it.
The Couple
Becca and Chris share a quiet assurance between the both of them - together, they are fully comfortable and comforted by each other. Their first look was sentimental in the best way. Their reactions were real, sweet, and unguarded.
I was also so excited to spend time with the couple’s precious pup Maddie, who was part of getting ready (and plays a big part in Becca and Chris’ lives!). She is outrageously cute. Dogs on wedding days are always a yes in my book.
The Venue
Hollow Brook Golf Club manages to feel both polished and relaxed at the same time, which is not always easy to pull off. The grounds are beautiful, the light is great, and there is enough variety in the space to keep things interesting throughout the entire day. It is a venue I have photographed many times, and it consistently delivers.
The Details
There were so many precious moments on Becca and Chris’ wedding day. One of my favorites was how Becca's love for her mom was woven into pretty much every part of this day. It showed up in the quiet moments getting ready, in the way they hugged during portraits, in the candids throughout the day. So genuine, and so beautiful.
The ceremony was heartfelt and joyful, which is my favorite combination. It made people laugh and cry within minutes of each other, and their guests were locked in from start to finish.
The Reception
The reception was exactly what you’d hope for: a packed dance floor, a live saxophone player, and friends who grabbed disposable cameras and ran with them all night. Everyone was there to celebrate, fully, and it showed in every single frame.
Becca and Chris wanted to enjoy their day, and I think they fully did.
Becca and Chris, thank you so much for trusting me with your day. You two were so easy to be around, your people were the best, and I had so much fun. Your gallery makes me happy every time I look at it, even two years later. 💛
