If you’re dreaming of a wedding that feels like stepping into a storybook -  think moody weather, bold florals, and a little bit of magic - you’re going to love Ash and Matt’s cozy, witchy wedding at the Bird and Bottle Inn in Cold Spring, NY. Photographing their intimate rainy day wedding was an absolute dream. Every detail -  from the Ash’s hooded cape to Matt’s carved umbrella to the handmade reception centerpieces and decor - felt like it belonged in a fairytale. Rain or shine, these two radiated joy, love, and a deep connection that made my job as their wedding photographer so easy (and so fun!).

From the moment I met Caroline and Sean, I could tell their wedding would be something truly special. These two are an incredible mix of ambition and heart; Caroline is a bright and driven software engineer, and Sean is a talented naval engineer with a calming, steady presence. Together, they’re sweet, spunky, and completely devoted to one another. Photographing their wedding at Hollow Brook Golf Club in Cortland Manor, NY  was like capturing a love story in motion - rain and all.

These two planned a celebration that felt like them in every detail. Relaxed, genuine, and a little bit playful. From their first look at a nearby Airbnb to their nontraditional touches and the cozy feel of their venue, it felt less like an event and more like a gathering of people who really know and love each other.

There are wedding days that feel deeply personal and joy-filled from start to finish - and Alicia and Patric’s day was exactly that. When the Sweet Alice Studios team arrived at Hollow Brook Golf Club in Cortlandt Manor, NY, the sky was full of shifting clouds, creating a soft, moody backdrop that made every moment feel cinematic. The weather added a touch of drama in the best way, and the energy between Alicia and Patric kept everything bright. Everyone knew they were witnessing something truly special. From their heartfelt vows to late-night donuts and an unforgettable dance floor, their wedding was a beautiful celebration of love, laughter, and their one-of-a-kind story.

Some weddings have a certain kind of presence - not loud, not overly produced, just quietly full of meaning. Alyssa and Patrick’s day at Diamond Mills in Saugerties was exactly that. Honest. Kind. Grounded. The kind of wedding where everyone seems to breathe a little easier because it feels like exactly the right people in exactly the right place.

Weddings have a funny way of telling their own story, and Crystal and Kyle’s wedding day at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie, NY  was a love story wrapped in timeless elegance, sweet emotion, and just the right touch of moody weather magic. From start to finish, their day felt precious - I honestly and truly loved every moment.

I’m SO excited to share this sweet and serene wedding at Whitby Castle in Rye, NY, that was captured so beautifully by our talented team photographer, Amanda. Erika and Mike’s day was everything a brunch wedding should be - elegant, relaxed, and filled with quiet moments of joy. From their heartfelt first look to the soft color palette and sunshine filtering through the clouds, this wedding was a joy.

After a wedding season filled with unpredictable weather and more rainy Saturdays than I can count, Val and Marco’s September wedding day at the Preston Barn in Dover Plains, NY felt like a gift from the universe. The skies were clear, and the sun shone with a golden warmth that made every moment feel extra magical. It was the kind of day every couple dreams of, especially when golden hour came around, when the light softened into that perfect, honeyed glow. We took full advantage of it, slipping into the wooded area on-site for portraits, where the sunlight filtered through the trees in the most dreamy, cinematic way. The images we created during that golden hour session are some of my favorites from the season; filled with warmth, intimacy, and a kind of quiet magic that only comes when everything aligns.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to adequately express how much I adored working with Elle and Matt for their beautiful Glen Island Harbour Club wedding. They are two of the best people around, and being able to be alongside them during their wedding planning journey was nothing short of joyous.

Weddings have a magical way of unfolding, no matter what surprises nature throws our way—and Christine and Brian’s celebration at Hollow Brook Golf Club in Cortlandt Manor, NY, was the perfect testament to that. With soft rain falling and clouds lingering in the sky, the day held an air of romance, calm, and quiet joy. But nothing, not even the drizzle, could dampen the deep love that radiated between this incredible couple.

One of my favorite things about naming this business after my cat - Alice - is that it calls in to fellow animal lovers. Getting to work with Haley and Chris (fellow cat parents!) for their beautiful Owls Hoot Barn wedding was an absolute joy.

When I think of Alyssa and Conor, and their Hudson Valley Weddings at the Hill wedding, I can’t help but feel warm fuzzies. Their day felt like home to me. Their family and their friends felt like they were mine. Alyssa and Conor themselves felt like they were extensions of my own heart. I remember every moment of their wedding day so vividly, their milestone memories as clear in my mind’s eye as my own personal ones.

Some weddings just stick with you in the best of ways. Although I wasn’t personally at Swami and James’ wedding at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie (Debbie from the Sweet Alice Studios team gorgeously photographed their big day!), I still think about their wedding journey with us often. The team and I loved them, and their sweet cat Millie, from the moment we met them.

2023 was the first full year of the Sweet Alice Studios team getting to serve the most beautiful couples, inside and out. Our lead team photographer Erika got to photograph Diana and Mike’s gorgeous September wedding at Hollow Brook Golf Club. It rained most days during this particular fall wedding season, but Diana and Mike’s day was the exception, with gorgeous sunny weather.

Sharing in Sam and Brenden’s wedding journey was a delight. From the moment I met them, I was captivated. Their warmth and humor is so adorable; and, they’re both incredibly driven and extremely relatable. They’re small business owners (Sam owns a beauty studio, and Brenden is a fellow photographer), so getting to “talk shop” with them during their engagement session was a treat.

When I left their wedding day, I just felt good. The day felt whole and complete; precious and like a breath of fresh air. And I think that’s because of how lovely everyone on this wedding day was.

When I was photographing Paige and Zach’s portraits during their Hollow Brook Golf Club wedding day, I turned to Paige and remarked how she has just the most adorable smile - when she smiles, her whole face lights up in welcome. When I said that, Zach giggled and said, “That’s one of the reasons I’m marrying her!” And I think that sums up how they are together - supportive and cute. 

I drive a lot for what I do, and miles spent in the car often become miles of reminiscing. On long drives, I often think about Allison and Max’s wedding journey. We got to photograph their engagement session in Pennsylvania, where I got to see Allison’s hometown, and meet their adorable pup. Their engagement session felt light and homey - a feeling that flowed through and into their wedding day a little less than a year later, on a warm July afternoon.

To be completely honest, I don’t know how to start this blog post about this perfect ElmRock Inn wedding day. I don’t really know how to put into words how special Stefanie is to me - she is one of my dearest friends, one of my closest confidantes. We met at work over a decade ago, and I feel like we grew up together. She feels like a constant safety, like a sister. Even when we haven’t seen each other regularly, she still feels like home.

Antrim Streamside is a beautiful and versatile location. It can host weddings, but also rents out cabins for weekend travelers, and can host corporate events, as well. It is a stunning and quiet location, set in the woods, with the stream as its centerpiece. Taylor and Matt chose to host their ceremony on the bridge across the stream - such a unique and beautiful choice.

I like to say that some of your favorite memories become mine, too, and when I think back on Kelly and John’s wedding day at Pleasantly Devine Stables, I can vividly remember my favorite moment: standing on the loft in the barn, photographing the happiest little dance party during the reception, big smiles and streamers included.
